XD! Now I want the Bluray DVD even more. And I think there's a Target-exclusive one that has a bonus DVD. Anyone get that?

Yeah, so, finally got around to watching it (In HD! Woot!). I would say the first one was better, but the second one had more story and more character development, especially with Flint's dad. I also agree with certain people about how the villain should have been less obvious. I was suspecting him of something from the beginning, and then they had to make it completely obvious and kill the suspense, making the rest of the movie pretty boring in terms of overall plot as I knew he was going to pull off something bad. The animation stuck to that unique CWACOM cartoony style which I enjoy, and the scenery and overall look was amazing. Most of the comedy was rather childish (But hey, what do you expect in a kid's movie), but I did enjoy Manny's "moments". Those were pretty good, I will admit. Although I'm not usually one for puns, they pulled them off in the food quite well, even the recurring "Leek" joke. My dad said Sam spoke Chinese better than Flint did, the should never have survived (How is it even still running?! Hydrogenetic mutation consumes huge amounts of power, and it doesn't even have a battery!), and I want a pet marshmallow. That basically wraps things up, I give it a 6/10.

More good news - bad news for the UK release of Cloudy 2. Just got the 3D edition and, good news: It is quite cool. The director's commentary is very insightful to how they handled the film and the certain creative liberties they took with it. The mini-movies were also fun too. They kind-of reminded me of the old Cartoon Network show, 'Cow and Chicken', probably because their creator, David Feiss, directed the mini-movies.
Bad news: No scratch-and-sniff Barry. A small loss.

When Chester tried turning Sam, Steve, Manny, Earl and Brent in to food bars I felt like really uncomfortable. And I noticed my two friends literally had their mouths hanging open.
Cannibalism? Man, Chester was a lot scarier than I gave him credit for.
His noodley complexion totally made up for it though
Also I want to snuggle every watermelophant in the world (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ It's my favourite fruit and animal combined <3

i'm wondering if he was blinded by his goal so much that he didn't even realize what he was doing was actual attempt at cannibalism. my oh my. IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A KIDS MOVIE AFTER ALL. xD
maybe we should open a thread for "way's to make CWACOM a horror movie", because it surely gives enough opportunities to turn it into one. holy batman i never noticed.

People should really stop taking animated movies for granted. I never get uncomfortable or angsty when watching horror or action (In fact the unrealistic amount of blood and the ignorance of the characters makes me cackle like a hyena.) And I very rarely get emotional in a movie (Unless it's a sad movie about animals then I literally bawl my eyes out)
But some animated movies just really made me question humanity xD I think it's mainly because seeing as it's a 'kids' movie it has that sense of innocents to it, so whenever bad or messed up things happen it really hits you between the eyes because it's such a contrast to the child like innocence you expected it to have.

i think they just assume that the kids won't get the reference, or are too young to notice the ... evil-ness of it all? i mean, most of us are old enough to get those things, but the really small ones? though i do have the opinion that children do understand and know much more than they let on~.
however, thinking about mufasa from disney's lion king ... kids movies are just cruel. they are. xD

Oh my gosh don't even remind me about Mufasa. That was my first onscreen death I have EVER experienced. I was crying so much my mother had to changed movies. And the part where Simba desperately tries to wake his father's corp's as his uncle tells him to run away and never come back. I never realized how grim that was till I saw it again about a year ago. Though human food bars. I mean wow. My BF and I always joke about what would happen if Chester did turn them in to food bars and Flint wasn't aware of it: Chester greets Flint after he managed to find and take the FLDSMFR and offers him a food bar "So, Flint. What do you think of my new food bar?" "It's great! Though an odd flavor." Chester then leans in real close to Flint with a sinister grin and softly whispers "Well, Flint. The taste does differ from person to person." It's so grim, but I can't help but laugh every time

I still need to watch Sweeney Todd, it's apparently really good. Isn't it like a musical or something? or am I just looking like an idiot at the moment?

If it's done by Tim Burton then I must go watch it! His movies are always so grim yet joyful it's like the best combination ever
