Thanks! When the idea train gets rolling, I'm quite energetic. No sign of stopping anytime soon! Now, for a deleted scene I removed from my original fanfic... ~ "Sir? A-a thing is happening!" Chester V walked into the surveillance room with a worried look on his face. "Henry, what's wrong? I've never seen you say something so vague before!" Henry shook his head as he brought up an image onto the central monitor. "I don't know sir, there's so much light!" Indeed there was. The alarm connected to the monitoring of Swallow Falls(which had been renamed after the food fiasco, in an attempt to pacify those who had criticized everything to do with Flint Lockwood's most troublesome invention) had gone off, and all of the viewing screens were nearly blinded by the near-constant bursts of light emanating seemingly from the island itself. Chester V lowered his head, a knowing and weary feeling coming over him. "Well, whatever this is, I don't think we're finished with it." He turned around, and slowly walked out to arrange an investigation team. He added, quietly, "Or that it is finished with us." ~ EDIT: Not really related to anything, but I've had this mental image for awhile; of the in a music video(of MCR's "Dead!"), explaining how it survived, and basically mocking itself and everything (as fits the attitude of the song - it's from the point of view of a war veteran dying of cancer, and generally mocking his own existence, saying that "No one ever had much nice to say/ think they never liked you anyway."). Ridiculous, huh? XP

Gah, another double post. Apologies a trillion fold. Have a headcanon: While roaming about the internet, making friends and increasing its awareness, the found a thread of puns. The thread was over 130 pages long. Somewhere in the middle, about 10 pages were devoted to food puns, 20 puns to a page(the conversation was really long). It saved the entire thread, and every day, it would research the mechanics of 5 puns. The products of these puns later became the Foodimals. - The Cheespider was originally two Foodimals(Cheespider and Cheesebiger(? on spelling)), but the decided that combining the traits of both Foodimals would be more economic. - There are only 39 Foodimals for two reasons: One, because of the anecdote above(two became one); two, it only got to look up the puns for 8 days before it stopped accessing the internet entirely. EDIT: If anyone wants to see the poem again (I saved it to my computer, if anyone's wondering), just let me know. Not sure anyone will ask though. A-NY-WAY, have some AU prompts! Anyone can use these, by the way; - Instead of blasting off into the sky, the power plant overload just grants the sentience. Since food falling from the sky doesn't happen, feel free to pursue a completely different plotline!
- Flint's dad dies instead of his mom. Again, the movie's events don't have to happen; maybe they're completely prevented!
- Live Corp AU; Instead of being a parody/mock of the everyday office, it's an exceedingly functional and open place, in which AI figure prominently. How does this impact the plot(or at least, the sequel)?
- Not necessarily an AU but; What is the RCTV's story? What does it do? How does it think? What does it know?

Geh. *Sigh* Jumping the gun and triple posting here, guys. I'm especially sorry about that. Figured I may as well go ahead and post this though. Fic ahead! ~ "So, what are your nightmares like?" " Well..." - It's dark when he wakes up. He can't move, but since that's normal for him, he doesn't think much of it. "It's time to let those demons out, Shota." Startled, he tries to find the source of the noise, to no avail. The darkness seems to start to pull at him, pull him apart. "It's time to greet OBLIVION." With a shout, and the worst pain he's ever felt, he disappears, dissipates into nothing. - He's back in his "cocoon" now, a mindless machine, pumping out food to destroy the world. His creator's there, embedded in a food-coated, food- created wall, luckily dead. - no - Now, he's in some sort of cell, where all of the surfaces are blindingly white, forced to see all of the damage he caused, every soul he hurt. At the same time, it's as if everyone he ever knew or heard about is yelling at him, telling him how terrible he was and is and reducing him to nothing and yet still he felt. - No- - He's back on the island now, gleefully letting his creations run amok, destroy everything, take the entire world for their own. He can't help feeling proud, because this is it, this is everything he's ever dreamed of. The world was going to regret ever putting him out of commission. - No no no no no no no- - He's at Live Corp, only now he's not Shota, but Oblivion. The world's gonna pay, and it's gonna start here. Everyone's either running, screaming, or both, all the while trying to avoid the wreckage of all the buildings he's already destroyed. It's chaos, glorious chaos, and he's drinking it all up and enjoying it. An AI catches his eye, and he knows her. Oh, he knows her. He runs after her, and she, VICKI, makes the mistake of thinking she can get away. "Oh, VI-CKI," he calls, "don't you want to know how much I've missed you? How much I love you?" He's got her now, and she's panicked and helpless, and she's beautiful like that. "How much I long for y-" - NO! ~ "Remind me never to ask about your nightmares again. They might give me nightmares." "I though we were supposed to talk about my nightmares." "Yeah, but I'm starting to think this is above my pay grade." "S'okay. I don't blame you." END

Yes, it really is. o.o Anything in particular you want me to pursue, idea-wise?
EDIT: Gonna explain some of my characters, since I've mentioned them a couple of times by now.
VICKI, or the Vibrato Insulated Communications Kinetic Inhibitor, is an AI that was created to compose music. Her creator works at Live Corp, and she's basically stuck there, for reasons I'll explain later in this post. She's generally a laid-back AI, happy to make friends, very passionate about music, and tends to get caught up in details (but when she does get the big picture, it tends to stick). She also has a habit of picking out nicknames for people (usually her friends), but if you tell her not to use one, she won't use it. She's very protective of her opinions, and respects others, usually because she can tell that they have similar feelings about their opinions. While she will mock things and situations lightly, insults do not make her very happy. At all.
Oblivion is also an AI, though his name is not an acronym for anything. He's also dead. There's a good reason for that. He was created to download and transfer memories and experiences from person to person. The person who created hm, unfortunately, wanted a friend who would understand them completely. Just for reference, making a memory-downloading AI sentient is not a good idea. Shortly after being put to work in therapy (it was a controversial decision, so it was simply done instead of announced publicly), he went insane from the memories and experiences he downloaded. He went on a coma-inducing spree, traumatizing people and taunting them with both the memories he received and his own victims' memories. The first person he attacked was his creator, whom is still in a psychiatric ward to this day. Unfortunately, the person who created him was working under Chester V. Chester V took down Oblivion personally, and still feels rather guilty about not being able to prevent the attack in the first place. Ever since, any rogue AIs were to be destroyed. AIs proven to not be hostile were to be housed at Live Corp, where any more destructive breakdowns could be hindered and treated.
(While I'm not sure about VICKI, I'm fairly certain Oblivion only exists in my AU now. Ah well, the joys of world- and characterbuilding still stand.)

That's a quite interesting approach - to make truly sentient, and it fits the story well. I like personality of the machine in your stories. Now I am interested to compare your explanation of the events and one from the second movie.

Thank you! I really appreciate your input. And I look forward to seeing the explanation in-movie too.

(Double Post. More apologies, truly. I've been doing this a lot, haven't I? XD) So, it appears I'm not canon. Oh well. Maybe someone else'll come along and make it better? Or at least make my idea fit with canon better. Who knows?

It's ok! If the point of your writing was that the story was NOT in canon, then it's an AU CwacoM fic, right? That doesn't make it a bad story. <: )

Thank you! ^_^ I need reassurance sometimes that my ideas aren't bad, that's all. Sorry for my outburst.

What a "Canon" story is, it's one that is entirely true to the characters and the universe. Now, while there are plenty of interesting scenarios going on directly "in-canon", this is really good. The thing about this, I feel it's maybe a "half-canon". It's not an AU, but it's not totally canon.
Please more!

I'll certainly try! Not at the moment, though, I'm afraid. EDIT: Welp, I've got something. Hold on a second... ~ NO!
He had been so close - so, so close. He'd thought he'd had his creator convinced, he really did! But then the Invader - someone he hadn't seen before, had thought of purely as a destructive force - came in, and plugged that thing in!
Odd, he'd thought there would be pain. Instead, it seemed as if he were simply shutting down.
~
... Calm. He was certainly calm now.
It seemed as if he was surrounded by soothing green light.
Nothing troubled him. He followed his orders, and in the green he was complete.
Watermelons? Sure, he could do that...
~ "I hope this works." A spark went off in the darkness.
He slowly regained awareness, ran a systems check, and then...
"PICKLE, CHEESEBURGER, LEEK, STRAWBERRY..."
He was back!
~
(Not much, I know. But I'll be working back up to more soon!)

Oh, thank you! ^_^ I do like being able to please people with my writings. Of course, I now have a prompt, instead. So, I have this idea where, after Sam starts teaching Barry English, she notices that other Foodimals (that she has neither taught herself nor seen with Barry) have picked up on English too, with surprising speed and accuracy. When Sam asks Barry how this happened, he takes her over to Big Rock Candy Mountain. She ends up talking (yes, an actual conversation) with the . And then... explanations ensue. Basically, I have this idea where all of the Foodimals are connected to the through a "spark-net"; Each Foodimal is an individual, with its own personality, but their "Sparks" (essentially what gives them life in the first place) are but pieces of the whole. The Foodimals can communicate, both with each other and the , through this spark-net - and this was how knowledge about things such as English spread! So, too far fetched? I mean, I've already thought of it as ludicrous (especially with what I now know about canon. XP), but I also really like having this idea. Is that okay?
