Or maybe he moved up there because (as you guys said on other threads) he's about 20. And if he's about 20 don't you think it would be... just a tad bit awkward to still be living with his dad? Maybe that's why he moved up there: so that he felt more like he was in his own place. I don't know. Just a theory right?

About the bus: I have a theory that is similar to what happened to my own elementary school. When Swallow Falls prospered from the profit from sardines, the school had its own bus system to pick up kids every day. Then Swallow Falls hit hard times when sardines were "super gross" and they couldn't afford the buses anymore. So they threw the buses out into the nearest dump. Here is where Flint comes in. He's probably thirteen-ish by now and is working on making his lab the coolest it can possibly be. He's looking for knick-knacks in the dump when he comes across the abandoned school bus. Being Flint, he already has a plan formulated about where he would put the bus and what purpose it would serve. So he dismantles it, brings it to his house, and rebuilds it in the right spot as the foyer to his lab. Voila!
