Hey there fellow Members!
To assure that you have a good time while being here I decided to set up a small forum guide. I hope you'll read through them and consider them while posting and interacting with your companions on here, so we will all feel at home. Please keep in mind that a violation of those guidelines might result in warnings and even banning (if the violations get out of hand). if you have questions or suggestions about those guidelines feel free to send me a pm.
Fair Play Among Members and Admins
1. We're a big family here, so please be kind and respect each other. No cursing or insulting, no belittling of other members. If we all respect each other's beliefs and opinions we should be able to have lots of fun together!
2. If you're having a problem with another member, please don't post your argument at the forum. Solve it between each other, or, if you don't see another way out, don't hesitate to consult an admin to help you solve your difficulties.
Staff and Support
1. We're here for you! So if there are questions, or problems arising feel free to pm an admin of your choice, and we'll reply and try to help you out.
2. If you feel like an admin has treated you wrong, please don't post it on the forum, for it would be as unappropriate as posting your difficulties with another member. Try to pm the admin first, politely explaining why you think you were treated wrong. Maybe you'll be able to solve it between yourselves. If this isn't helping, don't hesitate to consult another admin.
3. The staff will never ask you for your password! So if there is someone pm-ing you, asking for your password, please notify us so we can jump into action!
4. The staff is human, too! It might be possible that I oversee unappropriate posts every once in a while. If you find a post that you think shouldn't exist, feel free to use the reporting system to notify me.
The Warning System
I've assembled a new warning system to assure that the forum will remain peaceful, just in case. If a member violates the guidelines set in our constitution one of the admins will give out a warning.
How it works:
Everyone's warning level of course starts at 0%. 0% means that you haven't violated the rules and don't have to worry about a thing. With every violation the warning level rises. If a warning level reaches 100% the admins will take further, and more harsh actions to stop the violating member.
How much the warning levels rise:
- cursing: first time 25%, following cursings 50%
- rude behaviour, unappropriate posts: first time 25%, following 50%
- insulting or belittling fellow members and admins: 50%
- fighting about personal stuff in public on the forum: 50%
The staff reserves the right of raising warning levels individually for every case (e.g. if a member is new, or if a violation is really really bad). those decisions will be explained to the violating member of course.
I'll give out verbal warnings on some occasions before giving an actual warning, including a link to these guidelines. This will happen only once, though.
Cursing Note: We often use other words in place of curse words. What the meatballs? Meatballs! etc.
Expiration:
If a member's warning level gets raised, but there is an apology and no further violations for a month the warning level will be reset to 0%. If that happens repeatedly though (as in, the member waits a month so he or she will be able to violate again and does just that) we'll take further actions as in banning.
What happens when a member reaches 100%:
- first time: The member is banned for 2 weeks
- second time: The member is banned for a month
- third time: The member is banned for good
I believe these rules are for the good of the forum. I have very high expectations of each and everyone one of you.
Following these rules will result in an enjoyable place.
Thanks for giving this your time,
