A new short reel is up.
Well tecniahly it's not really all that new, this reel was actually the very first CWACOM reel to be posted on youtube, I saw this a week before the release of the film so Youtube took it down until after the release and now it's back up.
It's a Animation test with Flint and Earl.

thank you so much for posting this! it's short, but awesome, mostly because it's a scene unseen in the movie! or is it? naw i don't think so ... am i wrong with that? xD

I didn't feel like making a whole new thread about this, but I found this CWACOM animation and effects progression reel on the Animation Progression Reel site (a very cool site; animationprogression.blogspot.com/ ). I don't remember seeing it on the Blu-ray, but it might have just slipped my memory. Anyway, probably the most interesting thing in it is some alternate animation tests for Flint gasping, which is probably my favorite shot in the film, as it really shows that CG can simulate the charm of hand-drawn animation if done right. I think it would've been cool if they kept the hand pose of the middle one, but other than that I think they made the right choice. THEY SHOULD'VE USED THE ONE IN THE MIDDLE! XDDD Flint's hands are twitching! HAHAHAHAAA! |

In the spirit of CWACOM one years anniversary I have found some more demo reels.
